WHAT IS A COOKIE
Cookies are strings of text that websites visited by users (so-called publishers, or “first parties” and, in this case, the Site) or different sites or web servers (so-called “third parties”) place and store within the user’s own terminal device, so that they are then transmitted back to the same sites on the next visit.
The terminals referred to are, for example, a computer, tablet, smartphone, or any other device capable of storing information.
Cookies are therefore used to store information about the user’s online browsing on websites and to improve the browsing itself.
Information encoded in cookies can include personal data, such as an IP address, user name, unique identifier, or e-mail address, but it can also contain non-personal data, such as language settings or information about the type of device a person is using to browse the site.
It is through cookies, for example, that a Web site remembers user actions and preferences (such as, for example, login information, language choice, other display settings, etc.). Thus, this information does not have to be indicated again on subsequent accesses to the Website.
Some operations could not be accomplished without the use of cookies, which in some cases are therefore technically necessary for the very operation of the Site.
There are two macro-categories of cookies:
- technical cookies, which are used for the sole purpose of “carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the contracting party or user to provide such service” (see Article 122(1) of the Code). Technical cookies include analytical cookies from First Part ;
- profiling cookies, used to trace back to specific, identified or identifiable subjects specific actions or recurring behavioral patterns in the use of the offered functionalities (pattern) in order to group the different profiles within homogeneous clusters of different width, so that it is also possible for the owner, among other things, to modulate the provision of the service in an increasingly personalized manner beyond what is strictly necessary for the provision of the service, as well as to send targeted advertising messages, i.e. in line with the preferences expressed by the user in the context of web browsing.
COOKIES ON THE SITE AND THEIR PURPOSES
There are first-party cookies on the Site, installed by Busatti, and third-party cookies, as further detailed below.
First-party cookies (from Busatti)
First-party cookies are those installed by Busatti.
Their purposes are:
- Technical: these cookies are used for purposes directly related to the provision of Site services and to enable or improve navigation on the Site or store searches made by the user.
These cookies are indispensable and necessary for the Site to function properly.
- Analytics: in order to collect statistical information about the use of the service by users (for example: number of visitors, pages visited, etc.). We use these cookies to analyze traffic on our pages anonymously, but without storing personal data.
Third-party cookies
Third-party cookies are installed by parties other than Busatti and their purposes are:
- Analytics: these cookies are intended to collect statistical information about the use of the service by users (for example: number of visitors, pages visited, etc.). These cookies are used to analyze traffic on our pages anonymously, without storing personal data.
Third party: Google Analytics
- Of performance: through these cookies it is possible to develop and implement the service, improving your browsing experience and therefore the enjoyment of it.
Third party: Hotjar
- Of profiling and, in particular
- Personalized advertising: through these cookies we show you advertisements according to your preferences, habits or consumption choices
- marketing: we analyze your online actions so that we can provide you, through third-party partners, with content and commercial offers in line with your interests also based on your previous browsing. This information is handled separately from the identifying data held by Busatti.
Third parties: e.g. Amazon
Third party: Google Adwords,
- In addition, cookies designed for so-called “social networks” may be activated. They allow the user to interact via social networks (e.g., through Facebook’s “share” function). When a page contains this command, a direct link is established with the selected social network.
The use of these Third Party technologies is governed by the privacy policies of those companies and not by Busatti’s privacy policy.
So-called session cookies remain active only until you close your browser or log out, if any.
Other cookies (so-called persistent cookies), on the other hand, persist when the browser is closed and are also available on subsequent visits to the Site by the user, and their duration is set by the server when they are created.
Sometimes a specific deadline is set, in other cases the duration is unlimited. The table below has all the details.
Specifically, the Site contains the following cookies: Gestione dei cookie
COOKIES AND CONSENT
The user’s consent to the use of cookies is not always necessary, but depends on the purposes for which the cookies are used and, therefore, whether they are “technical” or “profiling” cookies.
Moreover, mere scrolling is never suitable, in itself, to fully express the data subject’s manifestation of willingness to agree to receive the placement, within his or her terminal, of cookies other than technical ones and, therefore, does not amount, in itself, to consent.
For the installation of technical cookies, users’ consent is not required, while it is still necessary to provide information (Art. 13 GDPR).
On the other hand, non-technical, profiling cookies or other tracking tools – which, therefore, are not directly functional to the Site and different from Technical cookies – can only be used if the user has given his or her consent after being informed in the manner explained below.
HOW TO GIVE CONSENT TO THE USE OF COOKIES
When you access the Site, only technical cookies will be enabled (which, as seen before, are necessary for the basic operation of the Site and your prior consent is not required for them).
When you first access the Site, a banner will appear that will provide you with a preliminary brief information and allow you to customize your cookie preferences, enabling you to provide your consent to the Site’s use of cookies other than technical cookies.
If you do not want to give your consent to these cookies, they will not be used by the Site.
At any time, you may change your consents (by giving or revoking them) by visiting the appropriate section of the Site.
Technical cookies do not require consent, so they are automatically installed following access to the site or service.
Should you choose, as is fully within your power, to maintain the default settings on the banner that will appear when you first access the Site and therefore not to give your consent to the placement of cookies (other than technical cookies) or to the use of other tracking techniques, you should therefore simply close the banner by selecting the appropriate command usually used for this purpose, i.e. the one marked by an X positioned at the top right and within the banner itself, without being forced to access other areas or pages specifically dedicated to this purpose.
HOW TO REVOKE CONSENT TO THE USE OF COOKIES
Cookies can be completely disabled from your browser using the appropriate function provided in most browsing programs or, in any case, through the appropriate section of the Site that allows you to manage your preferences.
Please be advised, however, that by disabling cookies some of the Site’s features may not be usable.
